These notes should help you find your way when you make you first visit to the new Mountwood Surgery of The Steven Shackman Practice.
Mountwood Surgery is located just inside Gate 1 of Mount Vernon Hospital. Gate 1 is the first entrance past the Ducks Hill Road traffic lights on the Rickmansworth Road (A404) heading towards Batchworth Heath and Rickmansworth.
After turning into gate 1 you will see the new Mountwood surgery building a few metres along on the right hand side. Just before the main surgery entrance are the disabled parking spaces for those patients who have disabled parking permits which should be displayed. These disabled spaces are specifically reserved for the patients attending Mountwood Surgery.
The main patient car park, with 40 spaces is past the main surgery building with the entrance on the right hand side. You may drive straight into the car park but the car park is barrier controlled on exit, so you need to collect a token from reception, after your appointment, which should be inserted into the barrier control to raise.
Please ensure that you
only take one token for the car park.
Please do not use our car park for other facilities with the hospital.
Try to bring one car per family per visit.
When you go in the entrance to the surgery the main reception desk is directly in front of you. Please report your arrival and go into the waiting area on the right hand side. Please wait for your appointment to be called on the display panel exactly as at the Acre Way surgery.
We are sure you will find the facilities and environment at the new surgery vastly superior to those at the Acre Way Health Centre and trust that you will quickly feel comfortable with the changes.
