click on 'Tools' from the top menu
from the drop down menu, click on 'Internet options'
select the 'General' tab
click on 'Accessibility' (bottom right)
change your font size by checking 'Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages'
remove background and font colours by checking 'Ignore colours specified on web pages'
click 'OK' to confirm the changes
to specify your own text size, select 'View' from the top menu
from the drop down menu select 'Text Size' and choose the size you like

select 'Edit' from the top menu and choose 'Preferences'
open the 'Appearance' group and click on 'Fonts'
next to 'For the encoding' should read Western From 'Size' select 18
next to 'Variable width font' is a drop down box: select 'Arial'. The 'Fixed width font' box should already read 'Courier New'. From 'Size' select 18
to over-ride the default text size you see on our web pages, select 'Use my default fonts, overriding document specified fonts'
click 'OK'
